A true United fan, who’s been following Manchester United for more than 15 years now. It was David Beckham who in 2002 World Cup caught my eye, playing for the English team & I have been following him ever since.
In 2002, Beckham was playing for Man United (I’m glad that it was not any other club) & I started following him at United. Even though he left for Madrid after a kick boxing match with Sir Alex, I still retained my love towards the club.
It took me 2-3 years (I was in school then, so watching television was not allowed for me then) to completely fall in love with the club & from then on, it was “Happily ever after..”.
My love for writing always persisted through my college & professional career but I couldn’t find time to pen my thoughts on various topics about Man United. But with a lot of ranting on, post Sir Alex’s retirement & every fan turning into pundit, offering views & acting the Devil’s Advocate, it was time to turn the tables around & hopefully give a sensible opinion backed by stats.
Stretford End Diaries, is one such effort to bring sanity to every football fan’s rant. I hope you enjoy reading – as much as I enjoy writing, my views on various such topics.
